Walpole is bordered by Canton, Norwood, Sharon, Norfolk and Millis. Originally settled in 1659, Walpole was once a part of Dedham until later on in 1724 when it petitioned to become its own town.
Today, the community features landscaped parks including Francis William Bird Park, a nearly 90 acre park boasts three miles of paths that run throughout, crossing streams over bridges and weaving between the meadows that are sprinkled with shady trees, flowers and ponds.
Walpole offers easy access by Routes 1 and 95 along with the Franklin Line of the MBTA Commuter Rail with service to Boston.
