Norwood is a mid sized community located conveniently off of Routes 1 and 95. Originally formed in 1872, the area was popular as a farmer community. Today, Norwood is a quiet New England town with a quaint downtown full of shopping, services and a town green.
Accessed also by the MBTA Commuter Rail, Norwood is home to numerous companies lined along Route 1 and is commonly referred to as the “Automile,” as numerous car companies are located here. Norwood also has a strong reputation for an excellent school system and is the birthplace for many professional athletes including Allen Ripley and Bill Travers.
